School Commission Policy Statement:
Purpose: The School
Commission is a consultative board to the Pastor and the Principal. Its responsibilities include establishing a
philosophy and mission statement, developing and evaluating school policies and
goals which includes formulating future plans for the school. It also is
responsible for developing various means to finance the school (including
tuition structures, financial development and fundraising, promoting
communication and public relations).
Meetings: The School
Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month in the
School Library. Meetings are open to all unless otherwise indicated. Anyone
interested in being on the agenda needs to contact the Principal or the School
Commission President in writing, two weeks in advance.
Membership: The Commission is composed of eleven voting
members: The Pastor, the Parents Club President, Parents Club President-Elect,
Member-at-Large, and seven elected or appointed members who shall be members of
Sacred Heart Parish and/or parents of children attending Sacred Heart School.
