Principal's Update

Accreditation Pre-Visit:

Our much anticipated accreditation pre-visit took place last Friday. The team arrived mid-day and was greeted by the Student Council. Following some time devoted to business, everyone got a comprehensive tour of the campus. Luckily, the weather cooperated.

Accreditation Visit:

The team returns the evening of Tuesday, February 19, to stay for the remainder of that week. The Visiting Team Chair has asked to meet with students from all grade levels as well as the Student Council; she and her team also plan to meet with School Commission members and with Fr. Ritter. You’ll be able to identify them by their name tags. Please introduce yourself and take time to chat.

Sacred Heart Playmakers:

After a very successful run of five seasons, Victoria Kristy aka Mrs. Z is returning for an encore as Director of the Sacred Heart Playmakers. She is working on a rehearsal schedule and is lining up her volunteers for what promises to be a wonderful performance of The Wizard of Oz. Show dates are May 30-31 and June 1. We know that these dates are late in the year but given Victoria’s commitments at Visitation and St. Charles Schools we are lucky to have her. For those of you new to the school community this year, you’re in for a treat! Save those dates on your calendar.

• Singing auditions: Grades 3-8 on Friday, March 7; come prepared to sing a song with musical accompaniment on a CD or accapella.


• Acting auditions: Grades 3-8 on Monday, March 10; memorize a dialogue from the SHS website and be prepared to do some ‘cold’ reading from the script.
