• Principal’s Report: Dr. Wittmann provided the Commission with an update.
  • Accreditation: The pre-visit by the Accreditation team has taken place. The team will return for the Accreditation visit the week of February 19.
  • Moore Theatre: An environmental health consultant has evaluated Moore Theater and discovered poor air circulation and mold. A professional abatement company will remove the mold. The new boiler and HVAC system should remedy the problem on a long-term basis.
• Finance: John Carrosino reported on SHS finances.
  • Budget Planning: The budget process for the 2008-2009 school year is underway. A proposed budget was reviewed by the Commission and will be submitted to the Parish Finance Council.
• Parents’ Club: Casey reported about the work of Parents’ Club.
  • Skate King:  A permission slip and waiver of liability form will be required of all students who wish to participate in the Parents’ Club sponsored Skate King events.
  • Guest speaker:  Julie Metzker will speak on Parenting Adolescents on January 16 at 7 pm in the Church.
  • Auction:  The Auction Committee is hard at work. They will provide on-line updates and information.
• Technology: Tom Phillips will be meeting with Pam Helberg to discuss SHS technology status and technology needs.
• Development: Lisa Napoli O’Toole reported on the Endowment and the Annual Fund.
  • Endowment: In February a presentation on the SHS Endowment will be made to the Carpe Diem Seniors group in the parish.
  • Annual Fund: A letter to Parishioners seeking financial support of the SHS Annual Fund will go out during Catholic School’s week. Renee Doyle will follow that letter with a phone-a-thon to Parishioners.
