In preparing for the 2006/2007 school year, Dr. Wittmann and Parents Club have worked hard to define the service jobs required per the tuition contract. We want everyone to have a clear understanding of the many different ways in which we can serve our school community.
Service to Function: This defines service jobs, which directly support the everyday function and fundraising for the school. These jobs will count as a family’s service job per the tuition contract, i.e. Playground Duty, Lunch Room volunteer, Auction committee volunteer, etc. Click the "Jobs" button (above) to review list and description of all the Service to Function jobs.
Service to Serve: This defines jobs that enhance and enrich the student environment and model our Catholic faith and moral values by serving others, i.e. CYO coach, Playmakers Volunteer, Field trip driver, math club volunteer, etc. These do not count as a service job per the tuition contract.
We have nearly 400 Service to Function jobs to fill for the 2006/2007 school year and approximately 280 families at Sacred Heart. Many of our families have and will take on more than one Service to Function job. In addition many will also volunteer in the classroom, as coaches, drive for field trips and much more. This dedication and willingness to serve is what makes Sacred Heart such a wonderful, dynamic environment for our children to learn and grow.
