Each year the Knights of Columbus also awards for honors around the four tenets of the Knights of Columbus, which are Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.

Charity

The first and foremost tenet is charity.  It exemplifies the service to others with a humble heart without any expectation of reward or recompense.   The student chosen for this award has displayed a willing spirit to serve others beyond that which is minimally required or expected of them.   The recipient of the Knights of Columbus Charity award is: HannaTschudin

We know the phrases, “A house divided among itself cannot stand” and “United we stand and divided we fall”.   This student will have demonstrated a healing spirit to mend differences that may otherwise have caused dissention or isolation.   Unity also demonstrates the spirit of inclusion.   This student has made efforts to include other students whom otherwise might have been excluded from activities or discussions.   The recipient of the Knights of Columbus Unity award is: Mackenzie Urquhart

Fraternity

This tenet requires the awareness that we are connected by a common bond whether it be Catholicism, Sacred Heart School or being in the same grade or class.   Because of our connectedness, we refrain from petty judgments of others.   The recipient of the Knights of Columbus Fraternity award is: Michaela Crollard

Patriotism

This tenet considers service beyond the service to our country.   It concludes loyalty to others.   Loyalty to the needs of our family members, church, school, our community rather than focusing on one’s self.   Patriotism results in good citizenship.   The recipient of the Knights of Columbus Patriotism award is: Andrew Beggs
